What does Discover Scuba Diving include?

It includes theory (watching a dvd) skill development in shallow waters followed by a 30-40 minute dive.

What is the minimum age?

Participants have to be at least 10 years of age on the starting date of the program.

How long does it take?

It normally takes around 2 hours.

Do I have to be a good swimmer in order to participate in the DSD program?

You don't have to be a good swimmer as long as you can swim so that you are able to maneuver underwater.

Fun Diving

Is lunch included in all your dive packages?

No, we don't provide lunch. Guests will have lunch (as long as they dont drink alcohol) back at the resort before they join in the afternoon trip.

What is included in the price?

Dive plus tanks and weights. Gear hire is of additional charges.

How many dive sites do you have and how do I book?

We have around 44 dive sites and choosing which site to visit eould depend on the weather, tide and certification level. You have to book a day in advance.

Are all your fun dives conducted as boat dives?

Yes, but if you wish to do a beach dive we can also do that, but if will depend on availablitiy of staff.

Do we always go out with a Divemaster?

All guided tours (boat/beach) are conducted by Divemastes (ratio 1:6) .

If I have been without diving for a couple of years or so, what would you recommend?

We recommend that you do a refresher or a quick practice session before joining in a bost dive.

What would be the flying after diving recommendations?

If your doing a single dive you have to wait 12 hours. If you are doing mulpitle dives it's extended to 18 hours.

Certifcation Courses

Whats included in the price?

Manual, PIC (positive identification card) & dive gear (except for Advanced Course).

How long does it take to complete the Advanced Course?

Minimum of 2 days but that depends on the weather and physical abilities of the student.

What should I bring after completing the course?

A passport sized photo.

Other

Do you pick up from the hotel rooms?

No, it takes about 5 minutes walk to reach the dive shop at south beach.

How can I book?

Through the internet or if you are at the resort you can call the dive shop ext 317 or visit the diveshop.

Do you except payments at the diveshop?

All diving expenses will be charged to your room account.

Can I still dive with you if I am staying at a hotel on the mainland?

Yes, you can make a day trip and do two dives with us.
